My reply:
I assume you claimed this to MBM?
Well, that sort of makes sense. It seems odd that Aeon would change your role without telling you, but it is a damn good role, so it'd almost have to have a balancing factor.
Can you keep using the ability, or do you lose it after tonight when you vote? I'm mostly wondering if there is a way to just keep the cage ability (which is awesome) but not hide any more affiliations.
I'm not sure if we should off him or not. He's got an awesome role, but if he tells MBM he contacted me, and he's killed, I'll be offed tomorrow for sure.
Although that might let us lynch MBM during the day when the lights are out.
*shrug* Not sure what's best here.

The only reason I would be afraid of us lynching of MbM in that scenario is because of the fact that last game it ultimately gave the innocents a list without absolutely any doubt. Aeon is 100% clear on the fact that that day's vote count is not to be revealed (so as to prevent the list creation)?

I told it it shouldn't be revealed, and he did not say he would change it. If he does change it, I would hope he'd at the very least tell us... like, soon, and certainly once the day is actually dark.

From Jarmo:
I keep whatever role I obtain until I vote for a lynched player. The downside is if there is an obvious muffin choice to vote for, but I want to keep my role, I have to vote against the obvious choice and look really scummy.
That was something I wrote in myself to handicap my role. LoL

Jarmo wants advice on who to cage.
I told him to cage MBM if it won't keep MBM from acting. Otherwise, I said Wavedash, levi_will, and TSO are good choices.
Levi_will never acts anyone, so he's good.
TSO, you may have to not secret vote if he decides to cage you just so he doesn't find out you're the smuggler. He might still be suspicious that the smuggler didn't act, but I suspect he gets informed if the caged person tries to act, so we don't want to give it to him for free.
Anyone else have good advice for people to be suspicious of that I could send him to cage? Unfortunately off the top of my head the only people who would seem suspicious to me if I was an innocent were levi_will and wavedash, and obviously I had to mention TSO because me and him have been bickering.

He'd apparently already sent in an action to cage RP. If I can convince him to keep that, and RP doesn't act tonight, then we can probably kill MBM unhindered!

I would've considered it rather weird on the outside if you hadn't suggested my name. I've unvoted and am essentially doing nothing in the way of actual voting.
Edit: I'm going to keep from voting, anyway - just in case he decides to change his mind. Unless you'd prefer if I did so anyway.

I went ahead and asked him why ipwnu was hidden when he didn't vote for him, and also asked him if his role was flavored with poppy seeds, and he told me that he was only responsible for hiding MMA, and that there was another janitor role out there as well.
I didn't contradict him. So he thinks that both himself and someone else is a janitor, but that he is responsible for night one and the other for night two.

Huh, I'm actually a bit confused on that myself. Was Jarmo told that he held a janitor side effect or is he assuming it because of night 1?

He specifically said Aeon did not tell him of the change. He may mean "until after."
I could ask, but I kind of like him convinced he can't steal abilities without hurting the innocents.

So it should be safe for you to vote, even if you are caged? Or will the smuggling action still be canceled, even though the vote goes through?
